5 months!

Lucas is 5 months old! I can not believe how fast that went by. It seems like yesterday we were sitting in the house quadruple checking our bag to go the hospital the next morning to have our baby! He started so many new things this month. From the fourth month to the fifth month he did some major changing. First of all he went from size two diapers to size three diapers. And I can't even begin to explain all the new coo's he has now. He also "talks" a ton now! I love it! I also love his laugh :) the smallest things make him laugh and when he laughs I can't help but to laugh with him. Seriously your baby's laugh is the best sound in the entire world. He is working on sitting now too. He isn't quite there yet but he wants to sit so badly, you can see the concentration on his face. Oh one super awesome thing he did this month was SCREAM. Not because he was upset, nope, just because he thought it was awesome. Let me tell you my friends it was definetly not awesome. We would be out to eat and out of nowhere Lucas would break out with an EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. He still does it a little but not that much. Lucas loves to now take his toys and bang them on hard surfaces. Which is really cute. :) He also loves his exisaucer. I will be holding him and he will look around me to stare at it.

I have decided to not start Lucas on food until he is 6 month old. He really just doesn't need it yet. He is growling perfectly and gaining weight just fine. And lets just be honest here I am not ready for my baby to be eating food! It makes me sad.

Why do some people..

Why do some people think it is OK to be rude? I swear sometimes I do not understand the human race. Do you really think it is OK to make rude, snide, mean, and innapropiate comments about me, my family, and my husband while we are sitting right there? Especially because this is the first time you have even met my husband! UGH. If it wouldn't have cost me two friendships I value, this person would have found out excatly what I thought of them. Thankfully for said person, I am a bigger person and decided to remain quiet. I don't believe on venting on facebook so I figured it would be OK to do it here. Also why are people so dumb? Sometimes certain people say things to me or my husband that make me question their intelligence. I just want to say you do realize our baby is only four months old right? Or you do realize we HAVE a baby right? I don't care who you are, if it is the first time we are meeting, or if you have know my husband or I for 12 years, you just DON'T say some things. You just don't. Everyone should know, just because you are "like" family YOU AREN'T actually family. And on that note, even if you are family unless you are in someone's immediate family DON'T tell them how to raise their family.(This one isn't about me, but about a friend). OK I think I feel better now.

There are so many new things going on in my home! Lucas had his first head cold. That was awful, I think it was worse for me because I was so worried sick. He didn't seem to mind at all. He was still playful and not any extra fussy. He just had a cough and a stuffy nose. Lucas has become a rolling machine! I love it! You put him on his back and turn around and he is on his tummy!It is perfect! It is funny tough because when you put him in his bouncee or in his swing he tries to roll and gets fustrated that he can't. And also he grabs for things now. This is really cute. As I am sitting here writing this he is trying to pull the band that holds his swinging toys over his bouncee out of its holes. He did it once and I put it back so now he is on a mission :). Also my baby isn't even four months old yet and he is in 6monthes clothes! What a big boy! He is just SO long. :) That is all for now!

Wow how a baby changes relationships. Not just marriages but friendships too.

Two Months!

First I am going to start with a picture of Lucas from when he turned one month old because I didn't have the blog then!Lucas is two months old! He is such a big boy! This month Lucas starting sleeping through the night! We start his bedtime routine at 7:00 and he is in bed by 8:00. His bedtime routine is something new we do. For his bedtime routine we give him a bath, give him a massage with lotion, put his pjs on, swaddle him, and give him his last bottle of the night. He then goes in his crib and he puts himself to sleep. He does not cry at all while putting himself to sleep. He never has. I think he just loves sleep! He sleeps from 8 pm until 7am. We are VERY lucky that he sleeps so much already! Lucas has a routine during the day. He wakes up he eats a bottle and then we play for an hour, then he naps for an hour. I am sure this will change as he gets older but for now his eat, play, sleep two hour routine works out perfectly for us. Lucas has great control of his neck now! It is not perfect yet but he is doing really great with it.This month Lucas starting cooing tons at us and he also started to smile on purpose, not just smile when falling asleep. I love his smile. Sometimes he smiles really big and gets so excited that he brings his little hands up to his face. :) I could not ask for a better baby. We go on Friday for his first shots. :( I'll let you know how he does!

Where to start

I started a blog mostly so I can remember everything that is going on in my lfie. My life is changing so much everyday. Lucas is growing so much and so fast everyday. He is almost two months old! I'll post ablog all about him when he turns two months old. I love my little life, everything about it. It was so great getting married and buying a hosue and Lucas really completes everything. I still can't believe he is here! I am excited about starting ablog so that I ca always look back and remember things from my life. More to come later!
